The OPSIS Oxygen Monitor (Model O2000) is an oxygen monitor developed to monitor oxygen concentrations in flue gases after combustion and in other industrial processes, for example inert gas generators, continuous emissions monitoring (CEM) and process control.. It is based on proven technology and complements OPSIS DOAS and TDL instruments well.

The simple but reliable design of the O2000N makes it very competitive. The monitor has been a ruggedized design (IP65 protection) allowing it to operate under tough conditions in aggressive flue gas environments. It is designed to withstand high temperatures, high dust levels, and high moisture levels. The oxygen sensor is placed on the tip of a probe that is inserted into the flue gas duct. There is therefore no risk of the monitoring result being affected within an extractive collection system.

The oxygen monitor is a good tool for controlling combustion processes, but it also works excellently for plain emissions monitoring. In the latter case, it is commonly used to be able to recalculate other monitored gas concentrations to another, standardized oxygen concentration.

How it works

The sensor in the O2000N is a so-called broadband zirconium dioxide sensor. It provides excellent monitoring performance. The oxygen monitor has hardware and built-in routines for calibration that can be activated either manually or automatically. The monitoring results are reported in real time, both via traditional analogue current signal and via Modbus protocol, where the latter also gives access to extra monitoring possibilities.

An O2000N includes a probe (M502) with a zirconium dioxide sensor and a unit with a reference air pump, control electronics, and a microprocessor for oxygen calculation, monitoring, and communication. The probe is available in different lengths so that the tip can be positioned at the desired location in the gas channel. It is also available in customized designs for particularly high temperatures and high dust levels. The distance between probe and control unit can be up to 100 m, which gives great flexibility in the choice of installation locations.
