PROJECT TECHNICIAN - Temporary 6 month contract

Salary: £30,940 -  Full time Hours

Location: Stroud, UK (On-site +travel)

Start Date: Jan 2024

To support the growth of the business, we are hiring for a Project Technician to work on a temporary ( ~6 month contract) basis beginning Jan 2024. This will be full time hours. This role will involve travel throughout the UK. You will assist with the building, delivery, and installation of air quality monitoring systems and other technical/electrical duties as required.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Carries out electrical, pneumatic plumbing and other work on racking systems and enclosures.
  • Installation and de-commissioning of Air Quality Monitoring Systems and hire equipment in the field (requiring travel across the UK).
  • Is responsible for the storage and maintenance of all hand tools and power tools used
  • Is responsible for the safe operation and tidiness of the project area.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.


Skills Required

  • Electrical and Instrumental Engineering (EIE)
  • Panel Wiring
  • Systems Installations
  • Understand Technical Drawings


Education and Experience

  • Passes at GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent qualifications, IELTS is acceptable)
  • Appropriate electrical qualifications
  • General fitting and DIY experience.
  • Experience with panel wiring, and instrumentation wiring.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Hands on experience of electrical, pneumatic and system installation is desirable.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
  • Can work well solo and in a team.
  • Acceptable command of written/spoken English.
